The Board of Directors of the Friends of German Culture invited all its
Members, Guests and Friends to the annual 2008 Picnic at the Monte Sano Club Pool
on Monte Sano Mountain
Date: August 12, 2008
Time: 6 PM to 8:30 PM
Location: Monte Sano Club Pool - Georgietta Drive, Huntsville, AL
Catering: This year our PICNIC was catered by the Redstone Arsenal Officers and Civilian Club courtesy of Mr. Robert Schumann-General Manager.
Menu: There was an all you can eat buffet which featured the following entrées: Assorted German Sausages (Bratwurst, Knackwurst plus one other sausage), Saur- Kraut, Red Cabbage, German Potato Salad, Broetchen, Butter and Apple Strudel for dessert. Beverages consisted of Ice Tea and Water. Selected wines were available and sold at $1.00 per glass. If you prefer to drink Beer or other beverages not provided by the caterer or the FOGC, you were welcome to bring them to the function.
Cost Per Person: $17.00 (Children under 12 - $10.0). There was a $2.00 fee for Non Members of the Monte Sano Club of which $1.00 was included in the price and the other $1.00 was paid by the FOGC treasury.

(caterer needs to know how much food to prepare).
Note: If your Friends of German Culture DUES were not paid for 2008 or earlier, please read your address label which indicates last year paid. If your dues were delinquent, include a check for your DUES to the Friends of German Culture (Students-$ 6.00, Single- $ 8.00, Couples $ 14.00, and Corporate-$ 15.00).
